The Canton Charge (22-17), powered by the Cleveland Cavaliers, defeated the Fort Wayne Mad Ants (22-16), 121-116, in front of 3,414 at the Memorial Civic Center for Military Appreciation Night presented by Constellation and The Patriot Project.
Kay Felder netted a season-high 41 points on a perfect 13-of-13 from the foul line and 11-of-20 shooting from the field with five assists and four steals in 37 minutes on assignment from the Cleveland Cavaliers. Eric Moreland posted his 19th double-double of the season by scoring 11 points and grabbing 11 rebounds with two blocks in 35 minutes. Roosevelt Jones scored 15 points and nabbed five steals in 37 minutes for Canton.
Fort Wayne’s Alex Poythress netted 20 of his team-high 28 points in the first half to go along with four steals in 35 minutes. Travis Leslie came off the bench to score 16 points and grab eight rebounds in 25 minutes. In his second game with the Mad Ants, Tyler Hansbrough came off the bench to provide a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds with two blocks in 37 minutes.
John Holland scored 16 points, grabbed seven boards and had two steals in 40 minutes for Canton. Jonathan Holmes rounded out all Charge starters scoring in double figures with his 15 points and seven rebounds in 36 minutes. The Charge have won nine in a row overall against the Mad Ants and six-straight at home. Fort Wayne and Canton both currently occupy the two Eastern Conference Wild Card spots respectively.
