WESTCHESTER, N.Y. — After trailing from the opening tip, Raptors 905 battled back in the second half to take its first lead of the game with four seconds remaining to secure a 92-90 victory against Westchester. Bruno Caboclo was the catalyst for the comeback, scoring 22 points including 15 in the second half. Trey Burke led all scorers with 23 points for the Knicks.
Westchester started the game with a 26-14 first quarter, spearheaded by Damyean Dotson who scored 11 points. Dotson and Burke would combine for 27 points in the opening half to lead the Knicks to a 55-43 advantage.
Raptors 905 chipped away in the second half, beginning with a 10-point quarter from Bruno Caboclo in the third. Burke added another nine points in the frame for the Knicks to push his total to 21 through three quarters.
After trailing by as much as 14, Raptors 905 head into the fourth trailing by four points. Strong shooting from the 905 would help the team complete its comeback, shooting .500 from the field in the final frame. Davion Berry led the team with eight points in the quarter, including the go-ahead basket with four seconds remaining on the game clock.
This is the 905s sixth consecutive victory against the Knicks on the road, having never lost in Westchester. The two teams now travel to Mississauga for a rematch on Tuesday, the first of five 11:00 am starts for Raptors 905 this season.
