OSHKOSH, Wis. — The Wisconsin Herd (6-1), the NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, notched its fourth consecutive victory (119-111) against the winless Delaware 87ers (0-8) as James Young established a new career-high with 41 points.
The Herd took control early, leading by as many as 24 points. Wisconsin maintained the advantage throughout the game despite committing 30 personal fouls.
James Young, the reigning NBA G League Performer of the Week, scored 40+ points in two consecutive games and finished the night with 41 points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals in 37 minutes. The Kentucky product shot 12-of-16 from the floor and was 9-of-11 from three-point range. JeQuan Lewis notched his first double-double with the Herd, scoring 14 points and dishing out 10 assists in 33 minutes.
Delaware battled back, outscoring the Herd 70-56 in the second half and closing the gap to four points in the final minutes of the fourth quarter. Christian Wood led the team with 37 points and nine rebounds in 35 minutes. Furkan Korkmaz, on assignment from the Philadelphia 76ers, added 27 points and eight rebounds in 32 minutes for the 87ers.
