SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake City Stars (3-10) secured their first home win of the season with a 94-87 victory over the Canton Charge (3-7) Monday night at Bruin Arena.
For the second game in a row, Utah Jazz assignee Tony Bradley recorded a double-double and tallied a game-high 24 points along with 10 rebounds. Eric Griffin added 19 points and three blocks, while Naz Mitrou-Long contributed 10 points. Nate Wolters notched his fourth double-double of the season with 15 points and 10 assists.
In a game that featured 17 lead changes and two ties, Salt Lake City outscored the Charge 56-26 in the paint and also recorded 16 second chance points, while limiting Canton to just two.
The Charge were led by Marcus Thornton’s 16 points, while Kendrick Perkins scored 16 points. Gerald Beverly came off the bench to add 13 points, five rebounds and two steals in 22 minutes, while Kevin Olekaibe had 11 points and two steals in 23 minutes.
The Stars travel to Iowa to take on the Wolves Friday, Dec. 8. Tipoff is at 6 p.m. and can be seen on Facebook Live.
