Southaven, Miss. — The Memphis Hustle earned their third win in the last four games, 112-94, over the Greensboro Swarm on Saturday at Landers Center, marking the team’s largest margin of victory this season. The Hustle led wire-to-wire, leading by as many as 27 and opened the game on a 20-4 run.
Memphis shot 51.2 percent (43-of-84) from the field and a season-high 52.4 percent (11-of-21) from three-point range while Greensboro shot just 40.0 percent (34-of-85) overall and 20.6 percent (7-of-34) from beyond the arc. Additionally, despite committing more turnovers than Greensboro (17-15), the Hustle outscored the Swarm off turnovers 21-14.
Omari Johnson led the Hustle with 18 points and eight rebounds on 4-of-6 shooting from three-point range. It marks the second straight game Johnson has knocked down four three-point attempts and the fifth time in seven games where he has knocked down at least three.
Durand Scott posted his first double-double of the season (16 points, 10 rebounds) and recorded a season-high in rebounds off the bench. Trahson Burrell and Kobi Simmons chipped in 13 points apiece while Jordon Crawford (12 points) and Grizzlies assignee Ivan Rabb (11 points) also reached double figures.
Pelicans two-way player Jalen Jones led the Swarm with a double-double of 21 points and 10 rebounds. John Dawson posted a season-high 12 points off the bench while Sam Thompson (11 points) and Luke Petrasek (10 points) also scored in double digits.
The Hustle will complete the home back-to-back tomorrow, December 10 at 4 p.m. at Landers Center in a rematch of Tuesday’s game against the Oklahoma City Blue.
