Raptors 905 continued its strong play Tuesday night, winning its seventh straight game 91-84 over the Lakeland Magic. Davion Berry came off the bench to lead the 905 attack, scoring 19 points, while TJ Price led Lakeland with 17 points in defeat.
A battle of two of the top defensive teams in the league produced predictable offensive results for both teams, who shot an identical 28-for-73 (.384) from the field. The 905 converted five more three-pointers and shot .960 from the free throw line to earn the victory over Lakeland.
Berry played 24 minutes off the bench and shot 5-for-10 from the floor to boost the 905 offence, which struggled to find a spark. Lorenzo Brown recorded 16 points and seven assists while Toronto Raptors assignee Alfonzo McKinnie grabbed a team-high nine rebounds.
Four of Lakeland’s starting five reached double-digit point totals, led by Price and Adreian Payne, who recorded a 13-point, 11 rebound double-double in defeat.
