MISSISSAUGA, Ontario — The Delaware 87ers (8-16) defeated the Salt Lake City Stars (4-23), 131-106, on Day Two of NBA G League Showcase 2018.
Christian Wood scored a game-high 31 points on 11-of-14 shooting to go with eight rebounds and James Young added 23 points as the 87ers outscored the Stars 67-43 in the second half to earn their eighth win of the season. In the win, James Blackmon Jr. netted 18 points and fellow reserve Shawn Long tallied 17 points.
Delaware used fast break points to its advantage, outscoring Salt Lake City 29-6. The game featured 19 lead changes and five ties, all occurring before the fourth quarter.
In the loss, Erik McCree had a team-best 30 points while Deonte Burton contributed 17 points.
Delaware closes out its Showcase against the Reno Bighorns at 5 p.m. ET on NBA TV. Salt Lake City plays its final Showcase game against the Fort Wayne Mad Ants on Saturday at 1 p.m. ET on Eleven Sports.
