MISSISSAUGA, Ontario — The South Bay Lakers (15-10) defeated the Long Island Nets (14-11) 117-97 in Game 11 of the NBA G League Showcase 2018.
The Lakers never trailed during the matchup and led by as many as 22 points in the fourth quarter. South Bay shot 52.5 percent from the field, 50.0 percent from three-point range and forced 28 Nets turnovers for 31 points to earn the wire-to-wire victory.
Center Thomas Bryant scored a game-high 20 points and pulled down 10 rebounds for South Bay while teammate Travis Wear also grabbed 16 points and 12 boards for a double-double. Guard Vander Blue scored 12 points and had a game-high six assists.
On the Nets’ side, Tahjere McCall scored a team-high 18 points off the bench to go along with his six rebounds and four assists while Kamari Murphy led Long Island on the defensive end with 10 rebounds.
South Bay takes on the Lakeland Magic on Saturday, Jan. 13 at 2:30 p.m. ET on NBA TV to finish out their trip to Mississauga. Long Island will face the Oklahoma City Blue on Friday, Jan. 12 at 4:00 p.m. ET on Facebook Live.
