OSHKOSH, Wis. — The Wisconsin Herd, the NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, fell to the Greensboro Swarm in a 122-109 loss in the teams’ third and final meeting of the 2017-18 regular season. The Swarm claimed the series, 2-1.
After four lead changes to start the game, Greensboro secured the advantage at 6:13 in the first quarter and carried the lead for the remainder of the match. Wisconsin cut its 33-point deficit in half at the 3:48 mark in the fourth quarter but was unable to pull within single digits.
Bucks two-way player and Duke product, Marshall Plumlee, made his Herd debut, netting 12 points and corralling seven rebounds in 23 minutes of play. Joel Bolomboy led the Herd with 18 points and eight rebounds. JeQuan Lewis notched 17 points and four assists in 36 minutes for Wisconsin.
Sam Thompson led all scorers, tallying 22 points for Greensboro. Hornets’ Two-Way player Marcus Paige contributed 17 points and seven assists in 28 minutes of play from the bench. T.J. Williams added 18 points and six assists.
