MISSISSAUGA, Ontario — A near triple-double through three quarters by Lorenzo Brown powered Raptors 905 (17-12) past Fort Wayne (16-13) 113-95 Monday night. Brown recorded 28 points, nine assists and eight rebounds to lead the 905, while DeQuan Jones responded with a game-high 29 points for Fort Wayne.
The middle two quarters were the difference in tonight’s contest after a closely contested first quarter saw Fort Wayne ahead 23-21. Walt Lemon Jr. scored eight points in the second frame for Fort Wayne however Brown began to heat up, scoring eight points in the frame and leading the 905 to a 54-47 advantage at the half.
Brown took over the game in the third quarter, playing all 12 minutes and scoring 16 points in the frame. His efforts sent Raptors 905 into the final period of play leading 86-71. In the fourth, Raptors 905 sealed the victory, benefitting from nine and seven-point efforts from Fuquan Edwin and Kuran Iverson respectively.
