SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — The Iowa Wolves (17-13) won their seventh consecutive road game Monday night, defeating the Sioux Falls Skyforce (16-17) 112-101.
The Wolves haven’t conceded a loss as the visiting team since Dec. 1 against the Wisconsin Herd.
With the win the Wolves have once again reclaimed first place of the Midwest Division.
Anthony Brown finished with a team-high 22 points while shooting 9-of-16 (56.3%) from the floor. Brown also dished out a season-high eight assists and hauled in four rebounds.
Melo Trimble contributed with a 20-point performance while shooting 8-of-14 (57.1%) during the game.
The Wolves starting unit shot 58.6% (34-of-58) from the floor against the Skyforce, with four starters scoring at least 19 points.
Sioux Falls led by as many as 14 points in the opening minutes of the second quarter but would fail to own another lead after halftime as the Wolves outscored the Skyforce 89-67 in the final three quarters of play.
Justin Patton finished with 19 points, nine rebounds and three assists, marking his third 19-point performance in four games.
Amile Jefferson recorded his 20th double-double of the regular season, putting up 19 points and 10 rebounds.
Iowa has won its past two games despite shooting under 30.0% from deep in each contest, finishing 5-of-18 (27.8%) from the three-point line tonight.
Two-way forward Derrick Jones Jr. led the way for Sioux Falls in just his third game for the Skyforce, finishing with 23 points and nine rebounds.
