MISSISSAUGA, Ontario — Seven different players scored in double figures as the Raptors 905 (21-13) beat the Canton Charge (13-21) Monday night. The balanced 905 attack was led by Toronto Raptors assignee Alfonzo McKinnie, who recorded a 19-point, 10-rebound double-double.
Lorenzo Brown also contributed a double-double in the winning effort, scoring 18 points and adding 13 assists.
Canton was led by Cleveland Cavaliers assignee Ante Zizic, who recorded game-highs with 22 points and 12 rebounds.
The first half was evenly matched as the two teams exchanged baskets. Raptors 905 won the first quarter battle 31-27, while Canton took the second 30-22. At halftime the Charge held a 57-53 advantage, powered by Zizic and his 14 first-half points.
The third quarter proved decisive as the 905 outscored Canton 34-19 with McKinnie leading the way with eight points in the quarter.
The effort in the third frame sent the 905 into the fourth quarter leading the Charge 87-76. In the final frame Canton narrowed the 905 lead to five points until Bruno Caboclo converted three three-point attempts in a 1:23 span to seal the 905 victory.
