MISSISSAUGA, Ontario — Raptors 905 (23-14) earned a hard-fought 102-94 victory over the Maine Red Claws (16-21) Monday night.
The 905 were led by Toronto Raptors assignee Alfonzo McKinnie who posted a 22-point, 10 rebound double-double for the club. Anthony Bennett led the Red Claws in scoring with a game-high 23 points.
The first half was tightly contested, with neither team able to build a substantial lead by the half. Kadeem Allen scored 12 points for Maine in the opening 24 minutes, while Aaron Best responded for the 905 with 10 points off the bench, leading to a slight 49-48 advantage for the 905 at the break.
The second half would continue as the first ended, both teams exchanging baskets and Raptors 905 edging the Red Claws to hold a 74-72 advantage headed to the final frame. In the fourth, Maine held a 94-90 advantage with 3:21 remaining, but Raptors 905 surged back with a 12-0 run to close the game and earn the victory.
