OSHKOSH, Wis. — The Wisconsin Herd (18-21), the NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, claimed a 115-109 overtime victory against the Long Island Nets (21-17) — the first overtime period in Herd team history.
Long Island pulled ahead by its largest margin (11 points) in the first quarter. The Herd closed the gap to three (29-26) at the conclusion of the quarter off a buzzer-beater by Ricky Ledo. The teams exchanged leads 20 times throughout the contest. Wisconsin secured the seventeenth tie of the game off a 24-foot Brandon Jennings jump shot with 45.4 seconds remaining in the final frame to send the game into overtime. The Herd held the Nets scoreless in extra minutes to secure the victory.
Jennings led the Herd with 29 points and eight rebounds in 39 minutes. Bucks Two-Way player Marshall Plumlee registered a double-double for Wisconsin, scoring 12 points and hauling in 12 rebounds off the bench. Ledo finished the night with 23 points in 40 minutes. Joel Bolomboy contributed 22 points in the effort, shooting 9-of-11 from the field.
Brooklyn Nets Two-Way players Milton Doyle and James Webb III led Long Island. Doyle topped all scorers with 34 points, connecting from beyond-the-arc nine times. Webb notched a double-double for the Nets, corralling 17 rebounds and posting 22 points in 39 minutes.
