The Stanford product’s selection comes six days after he was waived by the Lakers before his second NBA season began. Los Angeles originally acquired him with the No. 34 pick in the 2015 NBA Draft.
Brown appeared in 29 games with the Lakers last season — including 11 starts — averaging 4.0 points and 2.4 rebounds in 20.7 minutes. He was assigned to the affiliate L.A. D-Fenders for seven games, posting 14.6 points and 4.0 rebounds.
Jaleel Roberts (Santa Cruz Warriors), Alex Hamilton (Oklahoma City Blue), Travis Leslie (Fort Wayne Mad Ants) and Chris Horton (Grand Rapids Drive) rounded out the Top 5.
