After a prolific start to the NBA D-League season, including a standout NBA D-League Showcase last week, Sean Kilpatrick is headed back to the NBA.
The Delaware 87ers star signed a 10-day contract with the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday for the season’s seventh GATORADE Call-Up, including three since Showcase began on January 6.
Kilpatrick ranks second in the Development League in scoring at 27.1 points per game, shooting 45% from three while sinking 3.3 three-pointers per game.
He split his rookie season a year ago between the Santa Cruz Warriors and 87ers, averaging 13.9 points per game. He was called up for a 10-day stint with the Minnesota Timberwolves last March.
"That's probably the toughest pic I've ever had… It shows the hunger that's built up in me. I play the game with so much passion and pain, I don't think anyone would understand what goes on in my mind when I'm on the court. I just wanna win every single game." #ThisIsWhyWePlay #DLeagueShowcase @seankilpatrick_
