OAKLAND, CA – The Golden State Warriors have assigned forward James Michael McAdoo to the Santa Cruz Warriors of the NBA Development League, the team announced today.
McAdoo appeared in one playoff game (one start) with Santa Cruz this postseason, helping the club earn a victory in the Western Conference Semifinals on April 10 by posting 25 points, 13 rebounds, five blocks, four assists and two steals in 34 minutes against Oklahoma City. The North Carolina product, who earned All-NBA D-League Second Team and All-NBA D-League All-Rookie First Team honors in 2014-15, appeared in 33 regular season games with Santa Cruz (31 starts), averaging 19.5 points and 8.7 rebounds in 32.8 minutes.
The rookie forward will be in uniform for Game 2 of the NBA D-League Finals, which tips off on Sunday at 4:00 p.m. at Kaiser Permanente Arena in Santa Cruz. The Santa Cruz Warriors, who are making their third-straight appearance in the NBA D-League Finals, own a 1-0 series advantage over the Fort Wayne Mad Ants in the best-of-three series.
McAdoo appeared in 15 games with Golden State during the 2014-15 regular season, averaging 4.1 points and 2.5 rebounds in 9.1 minutes.
