The Oklahoma City Thunder’s two-way player, Daniel Hamilton, is off to a scorching hot start this season. Playing for the Oklahoma City Blue in the G League, Hamilton has already notched four triple-doubles through the first eight games of the season. In his second year, Hamilton is really beginning to find his grove at the professional level.
Hamilton totaled his 4th triple double today, as his Blue defeated the Erie Bayhawks, 120-115. He played 37 minutes in the game, and absolutely stuffed the stat sheet, amounting 20 points (87.5% field goal), 17 assists, and 11 rebounds. Earlier in the season, Hamilton also had triple doubles against the Texas Legends twice, and once against the Windy City Bulls. In the first meeting against Texas, a 123-129 loss, he gathered 18 points (54.5% field goal), 13 rebounds and 10 assists. In the second meeting against the Legends, a 122-118 win, he chipped in 24 points (66.7% field goal), 10 assists and 10 rebounds. His 1st of his triple doubles came against Windy City in a 126-130 loss, when he got 24 points (41.7% field goal), 11 rebounds and 10 assists.
The Thunder have to be pleased with their two-way forward, Hamilton. Though he has played in each of the Blue’s 8 games so far this season in the G League, it won’t be surprising if the Thunder call him up to get a taste of the NBA action sooner rather than later. Either way, Hamilton is off to a blistering start, with no signs of stopping anytime soon.
