The NBA G League is already two weeks into the season, and the best are starting to make strides around the league. Here’s which two-way players grabbed headlines with their NBA G League affiliates during the second week of the regular season.

John Holland Drops Career-High 43 In Canton’s First Victory
The Canton Charge picked up their first win of the season in a tight overtime battle with the Maine Red Claws, and John Holland was a huge part of the victory. Holland, who is averaging 24.7 points per game, racked up a career-high 43 points, to go with three rebounds, three assists and a pair of steals. Holland is on a two-way deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers and is fitting right in with the team’s NBA G League squad in Canton.
Quinn Cook Shines in Front of Golden State’s Stars
After dropping 30-plus points in his first two contests, Quinn Cook continued his brilliant play for the Warriors during the second week of the season. Cook, who is averaging 26.2 points per contest, just missed out on a triple-double against the Herd on Nov. 10. He finished the game with 24 points, a season-high 10 rebounds, and eight assists. The following day, he paired 16 points with a season-best nine assists, five rebounds and four steals. Cook has helped lead Santa Cruz to a 3-2 start, including two wins in a row.
Antonio Blakeney Goes off in Windy City’s First Two Games
Antonio Blakeney had quite the night in his return back to the NBA G League with the Bulls on Nov. 10 against the Blue. He finished the game with a NBA G League season-best 44 points, along with nine rebounds, three assists, three steals and a block. His night was key to the Bulls’ first victory of the year.
Josh Magette Boasts Big Offensive Night vs. Magic
Josh Magette has already shown his offensive brilliance whether he’s scoring or distributing the ball, just four games into the season. Magette boasted two double-doubles in the first week of the season, including the league’s season-high of 16 assists against the Red Claws on Nov. 5. During week two, he went for nine points and nine assists against the Red Claws on Nov. 10th, and then had another double-double the following night. He dropped 20 points and 11 assists, with three rebounds in the BayHawks matchup against the Magic.
Mike James Goes for Two-Straight 18-Point Games with Suns
Mike James has slowly become the NBA G League story in the Association itself so far this season. The Suns’ two-way player has played in Phoenix for all of the team’s 15 contests this year, starting 10 times. He’s now averaging 11.9 points, 3.7 assists and 3.0 rebounds per game on the season, and has continued his pace during the first full week of November. In the past week, he has dropped 18 points twice, adding four rebounds and three assists against the Heat on Nov. 8, and six rebounds and two assists against the Magic on Nov. 10. In the Suns’ Nov. 11 win over the Timberwolves, James came off the bench to add nine points, five assists and three rebounds. He continues to look to solidify himself with the Suns’ big club, and he hasn’t shown any reason not to be in Phoenix.
