All-Time NBA Assignments

NBA teams can assign players with less than three years of service to their NBA G League affiliates an unlimited number of times throughout the season. The NBA team maintains the assigned player’s rights and can recall that player at any time.

An NBA G League team's active roster may expand to up to 13 players if its parent club assigns players from the NBA roster. However, assigning a player to the NBA G League does not free up a roster spot on the NBA club that assigned him.

The NBA teams without NBA G League affiliates can assign players through the flexible assignment system.
