SALT LAKE CITY (December 10, 2024) — The Salt Lake City Stars (6-6), the official NBA G League affiliate of the Utah Jazz, captured their fifth consecutive home win of the season, defeating the Stockton Kings (7-3) (Sacramento Kings affiliate), 131-114, Monday night at the Maverik Center.



SALT LAKE CITY (December 10, 2024) — The Salt Lake City Stars (6-6), the official NBA G League affiliate of the Utah Jazz, captured their fifth consecutive home win of the season, defeating the Stockton Kings (7-3) (Sacramento Kings affiliate), 131-114, Monday night at the Maverik Center.



Jazz assignment guard Isaiah Collier showed off in his Stars debut, netting a game-high 36 points, on an efficient 15-of-18 from the field, while adding three rebounds, five assists, and a steal. Salt Lake City forward Babacar Sane&nbsp;matched his season-high point total, scoring 22 points (8-of-13 FG), while also grabbing eight boards and dishing out an assist. Jazz two-way center Oscar Tshiebwe&nbsp;added a team-high 23 boards and 12 points to earn his ninth double-double of the season.



Collier jumped out at the start of the first, scoring the Stars’ first ten points on a perfect 4-of-4 shooting from the field. Following Collier’s offensive burst, fellow Stars guard Max Abmas took a turn, scoring the team’s next eight, and giving the Stars an 18-14 lead at 4:16 in the frame. Back-and-forth scoring followed as Salt Lake City ended the quarter ahead, 32-29, where they kept their advantage through the second.&nbsp;



As a team, Salt Lake City entered the break ahead 63-45, shooting 47.8% from downtown (11-of-23), holding their opponent to only 14.3% (2-of-14) from beyond the arc.



The second half would be much like the first, as the Stars stayed hot from all over the court, shooting an impressive 65.1% from the field (28-of-43) and 60% from three (9-of-15).&nbsp;Stockton failed to break the Stars’ double-digit lead in the final frame, as Salt Lake City cracked the 130-point mark for the second time this season,&nbsp;defeating the&nbsp;Kings, 131-114.



Stockton forward Brian Bowen II led the Kings in scoring, netting a team-high 24 points and seven rebounds in 27 minutes off the bench. Guard John Elmore neared double-double territory with 11 points and nine assists.



The Stars face the San Diego Clippers for the first time this season tonight, Tuesday, Dec. 10. The contest will tip off at 7:00 p.m. MT at the Maverik Center and will be broadcast LIVE on JAZZ+
