WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. — The Westchester Knicks beat the Delaware 87ers on Saturday 106-97 at the Westchester County Center.
Westchester (13-5) saw Jimmer Fredette post 27 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists in the win. Guard Travis Trice also filled the stat sheet with 18 points, nine rebounds and eight assists for the Knicks, while Darion Atkins finished with 15 points and seven rebounds.
Delaware (11-9) received a 25-point output from Jordan McRae, who also added six assists. Sean Kilpatrick recorded 23 points, six rebounds and five assists for the 87ers, while Rodney Carney scored 10 points in 25 minutes off the bench. David Laury III notched his fourth double-double in the last five games, scoring 17 points and grabbing 13 rebounds.
McRae started quickly for Delaware, posting 11 points in the opening period as the 87ers held a 28-27 lead after one.
The teams combined to hit just 17-of-45 shots in the second quarter, which saw the Knicks take a 47-46 advantage into the halftime break.
Westchester had eight different players score in the third quarter, as the hosts led 75-67 after three.
Delaware kept it close in the fourth quarter but couldn’t chip away at the lead Westchester had built.
