CANTON, Ohio — The Canton Charge (22-13), presented by SecureData 365 and powered by the Cleveland Cavaliers, defeated the Grand Rapids Drive (17-17), 119-109, to extend their winning streak to a franchise-best 10 games.
Three Charge players scored at least 20 points, with Juvonte Reddic leading the way with a season-high 22 points and six boards in 28 minutes. John Holland hit season-highs in scoring and assists with 21 and six respectively in 29 minutes. Nick Minnerath netted 21 points and grabbed nine rebounds in 27 minutes off the bench.
Dahntay Jones led the Drive with a game-high 26 points while grabbing eight rebounds and dishing four assists in 46 minutes. Gary Talton added 19 points, 17 in the first half, with nine assists and five rebounds in 39 minutes. Reserve guard/forward Kelsey Barlow provided 12 points off the bench. The Drive protected the ball to commit just nine turnovers for nine points.
Michael Stockton continued his strong play in the absence of Quinn Cook (concussion protocol), posting 16 points and seven assists in 34 minutes. Charge guard Chris Crawford made his season-debut with 11 points and nine assists in 27 minutes off the bench. The victory was Canton’s eight-straight against Central Division opponents. The Charge dished out 30 assists on 42 field goals as a team in the game.
