OKLAHOMA CITY, December 10, 2016 – The Oklahoma City Blue (8-4) withstood a second half run to defeat the Westchester Knicks (6-3), 105-94, on Saturday night at the Cox Convention Center.
The Knicks cut the Blue’s lead to two with a little under 10 minutes left in the game. Jannero Pargo hit two threes over the next minute and a half of game time to put the Blue back up by double digits.
“We had a rough stretch in the third quarter, but did a great job at responding at the end of the quarter and that carried into the fourth,” Head Coach Mark Daigneault said. “I thought that our bench gave us a lift and helped us win tonight’s game.”
Pargo finished with 15 points, on five made three-pointers, and six assists off the bench.
“Today, I focused on sharing the ball with my teammates and giving them opportunities to make plays for themselves and for me too,” Pargo said.
Oklahoma City led, 58-40, at halftime. On assignment from the Oklahoma City Thunder, Josh Huestis scored 12 in the first half to go along with seven rebounds. Huestis finished with a team-leading, and season-high, 20 points and eight rebounds.
Oklahoma City goes on the road to face the Delaware 87ers at the Bob Carpenter Sports Convocation Center on Tuesday night at 6 p.m
