MILWAUKEE — The Wisconsin Herd (5-1), the NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, posted a team-high 132 points to defeat the Maine Red Claws (4-2) by a score of 132-125 at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.
James Young scored a career-high 40 points — shooting 12 of 15 in the paint — and corralled seven rebounds in 27 minutes to lead the Herd. Players with the last name Brown contributed 44 total points — Sterling Brown, on assignment from the Bucks, scored 26 points in 32 minutes; Vitto Brown added 10 points in 26 minutes off the bench and Shannon Brown netted eight points in 16 minutes.
Jabari Bird led all scorers for the Red Claws with 32 points and six rebounds in 42 minutes. Maine had three additional players in double digits: Trey Davis (26 points), L.J. Peak (21 points) and Andrew White (19 points).
