OSHKOSH, Wisconsin — Cliff Alexander sealed a 113-111 Wisconsin Herd (9-4) win over the Oklahoma City Blue (7-7) on a floating jump shot in the final 2.8 seconds of the game at Menominee Nation Arena.
The Herd jumped to an 11-0 advantage in the first three minutes of the game and held the lead into the second quarter. Oklahoma City battled back early in the second quarter, but was unable to catch the Herd until the 18 second mark in the third quarter as the Blue carried an 81-80 lead into the final frame.
After seven lead changes in the fourth quarter, the Herd emerged victorious. Wisconsin scored 60 points in the paint and added 13 fast-break points.
Alexander ended the night with 22 points and eight rebounds in 33 minutes from the bench for the Herd. Xavier Munford led the team in scoring with 25 points, shooting 9-of-17 and dishing out six assists.
The Blue’s Markel Brown led all scorers as he recorded a career high and double-double with 41 points and 10 rebounds. Myke Henry also posted a double-double for Oklahoma City, scoring 12 points and corralling 10 rebounds in 31 minutes of play.
