GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Raptors 905 (4-9) losing streak extended to four games Friday night, falling to the Grand Rapids Drive (7-9) 101-87.
Derek Willis led all scorers with 25 points for Grand Rapids, while Bruno Caboclo paced the 905 with 17 points. The home team has claimed victory in each of the three contests between the two teams this season.
Strong 3-point shooting helped Grand Rapids jump out to an early lead, shooting .556 from distance in the first quarter. The Drive closed the first half with a .600 clip from three-point range, led by Derek Willis’ 4-for-4 effort. His 14 points led all scorers and sent the home team into halftime with a 57-35 advantage.
The third quarter was tightly contested, the Drive narrowly edging Raptors 905 22-21 in the frame. In the fourth, the 905 would outplay Grand Rapids, outscoring the Drive 31-22. Unfortunately, the advantage would not be enough to overcome the lead Grand Rapids had built through three quarters and the 905 dropped its ninth game of the season.
