OSHKOSH, Wis. — In the Wisconsin Herd’s fourth game in six days, the NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks fell short to the Long Island Nets, 109-105, at Menominee Nation Arena.
The Herd (9-5) took an early lead in the first quarter finishing with a 27-25 lead. The Nets (9-5) bounced back in the second quarter, taking a 62-56 advantage into the half. Wisconsin was unable to recover in the second half despite a 15-point fourth quarter by Long Island.
Milton Doyle led all scorers with 29 points on the night while dishing out five assists for Long Island. Jeremy Senglin netted 22 points, shooting 9-of-13 from the field, in 19 minutes off the bench. Kamari Murphy recorded a career-high 22 points, shooting 8 of 11 from the field and 3 of 5 from beyond the arc while securing nine rebounds.
James Young led the Herd in scoring with 25 points in 36 minutes. Cliff Alexander added 24 points and six rebounds in 29 minutes of play from the bench. Cameron Oliver registered the lone double-double of the night with 11 points and 10 rebounds for the Herd.
The Herd travels to Pennsylvania on Wednesday, Dec. 13 to face the Erie BayHawks for the first time. Long Island hosts the Texas Legends on Monday, Dec. 11.
