TAYLORSVILLE, Utah — The Salt Lake City Stars (3-12) were defeated by the Sioux Falls Skyforce, 127-109, Monday night at Bruin Arena.
Newly-signed Utah Jazz two-way contract player Erik McCree led the Stars with 22 points, to go along with nine rebounds, four assists and two steals. Naz Mitrou-Long notched a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds, while Michael Qualls added 19 points.
The first half had the teams trading baskets with three ties and three lead changes with Salt Lake City heading into the break down by seven. The Skyforce built a double-digit lead from forcing 23 Stars turnovers and were able to keep control of the game until the final buzzer.
Alonzo Gee paced the Skyforce with a game-high 29 points. Jalen Bradley chipped in 22 points and Rodney Pryor added 18 points.
