NEWARK, Del. — Raptors 905 (9-10) extended their win streak to four games Wednesday night, defeating the Delaware 87ers (6-13) 117-92 on Star Wars night at Bob Carpenter Center.
Lorenzo Brown spearheaded the 905 attack, scoring a game-high 30 points, while Toronto Raptors assignees Bruno Caboclo and Alfonzo McKinnie posted 19 points each. James Blackmon Jr. scored 22 points for the 87ers in defeat.
The 905 took control of the game early, shooting .727 from three-point range and benefitting from 11 first quarter points from McKinnie, leading to a 36-24 advantage. In the second frame, Brown would take his turn to make an impact, scoring 10 points in five minutes of play. Christian Wood did his best to keep the 87ers close, matching Brown’s 10-point total in the quarter. Headed into the half, Raptors 905 enjoyed a 60-45 advantage.
Much like the first half, the 905 would start the second half with strong opening quarter, outscoring Delaware 35-25 in the third. Nine different players contributed to the stat sheet for the 905 in the quarter, who took a 95-70 lead into the final period of play. In the closing frame, Brown scored a quarter-high seven points to seal the victory for Raptors 905.
