MISSISSAUGA, Ontario — The Lakeland Magic (14-10) defeated the Memphis Hustle (10-17), 117-108, to cap off Day Two of NBA G League Showcase 2018.
The game was a back-and-forth battle until the fourth quarter. Trailing 101-96 with 7:30 left in the game, the Magic went on a 21-7 run to finish the game and snap its five-game losing streak.
Rodney Purvis led five Magic players in double figures with a game-best 25 points while Troy Caupain recorded a triple-double consisting of 16 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds. Khem Birch finished with 16 points, nine rebounds and six assists and Jamel Artis added 18 points in the winning effort.
Austin Nichols had 23 points and nine rebounds and Vincent Hunter contributed 19 points, seven rebounds and seven assists as the Hustle dropped its fourth consecutive game.
