The Canton Charge (10-16) came away with a 102-97 victory over Raptors 905 (15-12) Wednesday morning. Davion Berry led all scorers with 29 points for the 905, while Canton was paced by a 27-point effort from Marcus Thornton.
After an evenly matched opening quarter, Caleb Swanigan scored 16 of his 18 points in the second quarter to open up a four-point advantage for Canton at halftime. The Charge would grow its lead to as much as 16 in the third quarter, but a late 905 run kept the game close, 69-66 headed to the final frame.
In the fourth, Berry and Thornton poured in 14 points each for their respective clubs, the Charge ultimately able to hold off the 905 and earn its tenth win of the season.
