MISSISSAUGA, Ontario — Raptors 905 (31-19) completed its 2017-2018 regular season with a thrilling 87-86 victory over the Maine Red Claws (17-33) Saturday afternoon. The 905 were led by Lorenzo Brown’s team-high 24 points and fellow two-way player Malcolm Miller’s 21 points.
Trey Davis led the Red Claws offensively with a game-high 34 points, while Josh Adeyeye contributed 18 points and eight rebounds in the loss.
The two teams struggled offensively in the first half, Raptors 905 shooting .400 from the field while Maine posted a .412 mark from the floor. The Red Claws held a 50-43 advantage after the opening 24 minutes, benefitting from Davis’ 22 points shooting 9-for-15 from the field.
Raptors 905 would slowly chip away at the Maine lead, pulling within two points headed into the final period of play. In the fourth quarter, Davion Berry produced with 10 points in the frame, none more important than a go-ahead three-point basket with eight second remaining to seal the victory.
The team is locked into the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference and will have its playoff opponent determined at the conclusion of play today.
