Stockton, Calif. – The Stockton Kings (2-1), the NBA G League affiliate of the Sacramento Kings, downed the South Bay Lakers, the NBA G League affiliate of the Los Angeles Lakers (0-2) 120-87 in their second home game of the season. Guard Kalin Lucas lead with a team high of 25 points to help Stockton lead the Lakers by 45 points in the third quarter, the teams largest lead of the night.
In front of a crowd of 1,218 at the Stockton Arena, Stockton led South Bay by nine points with 1:55 to go in the 1st quarter. Cameron Reynolds lead the team in the 2nd quarter with 12 points, which helped give them a strong lead of 37-19 to end the quarter.
Reggie Hearn hit back to back free throws giving Stockton the largest lead of the game, 45 points at 4:59 in the third period. 101-64 Kings going into 4th quarter. Taren Sullivan lead the Kings in the 4th quarter with nine points and four rebounds.
Andre Ingram lead South Bay with 16 points and seven rebounds. Scott Machado had 13 points to go with three assists and four rebounds.
Kalin Lucas lead Stockton with 27 points three rebounds, three assists and five steals, Reynolds assisted with 21 points.
The Stockton Kings will seek their third-straight victory as they head on the road to face the Santa Cruz Warriors (1-0) on Wednesday November 7 at 7 p.m. at Kaiser Permanente Arena. This game can be viewed on ESPN+. Stockton will return home to host Agua Caliente on Sunday, November 11 at 1 p.m. at the Stockton Arena.
