Raptors 905 (12-4) were defeated 133-126 by the Oklahoma City Blue (12-3) Wednesday night in a battle of the G League’s top two teams. Chris Boucher recorded a game-high 47 points, setting a franchise and league-high this season, while adding nine blocks. Fellow Raptors two-way Jordan Loyd scored 32 points as the two players combined for 79 of the 905’s 126 points. Scotty Hopson finished with 26 points while Tyler Davis recorded 24 points and 16 rebounds to lead the Blue to victory.
Oklahoma City took control of the opening quarter as they outscored the 905 by nine points with the help of Hopson who scored a quarter-high 16 points. The 905 struggled to cut the lead to single digits and were outrebounded 30 to 18 in the first half resulting in an 18-point lead for the Blue heading into break. In the second half, the 905 cut the deficit to three points with two minutes left in the game. It was the Blue’s ability to close out that ultimately had them come out on top and stop the 905 win streak at seven games.
