Raptors 905 (25-17) used a dominant first half to down the Capital City Go-Go (22-20), 135-119 Saturday afternoon at Paramount Fine Foods Centre.
Wade Baldwin IV powered the 905 offence in the first half, scoring 17 of his team-high 27 points in the opening 24 minutes. The team came one-point shy of tying the franchise mark for points in a half, recording 79 points in the first two quarters and taking a 29-point lead into the break, a lead they would not relinquish.
Jordan McRae continued his torrid scoring pace for the Go-Go, leading all scorers with 44 points on 15-for-26 shooting from the field. Capital City received double-digit point totals from all five starters, including 17 points from Pe’Shon Howard.
A total of seven 905 players recorded double-digit point totals, highlighted by Derek Cooke Jr. who notched 19 points and 16 rebounds for his seventh double-double in the last eight games. Toronto Raptors two-way player Jordan Loyd added 20 points while Toronto Raptors assignee Chris Boucher contributed 19 points to the victory.
