MISSISSAUGA, Ontario — Raptors 905 (9-11) defeated the Erie BayHawks (7-14) 124-114 Monday night at Paramount Fine Foods Centre. A quartet of double-double performances from Oshae Brissett (18 points, 11 rebounds), Jawun Evans (11 points, 10 assists), Stanley Johnson (24 points, 11 rebounds) and Matt Thomas (18 points, 10 rebounds) led the 905 to victory.
Johnson, Malcolm Miller and Thomas were all assigned to the 905 by the Toronto Raptors for Monday night’s game. The BayHawks countered with Josh Gray, who was one assist shy of a triple-double, recording a game-high 26 points, 14 rebounds and nine assists in defeat.
Erie jumped out to an early first quarter lead on the strength of its three-point shooting, converting .500 from distance. The BayHawks eight-point lead would evaporate in the second as the 905 stormed back to take a two-point advantage into halftime.
After an evenly matched third quarter, Raptors 905 went on a 9-0 run midway through the final frame to take control of the game and secure its ninth victory of the season on Fred VanVleet bobblehead night.
