Raptors 905 (16-20) defeated the Westchester Knicks (16-20) 126-124 in triple overtime Wednesday night. Paul Watson Jr. led all scorers with a 30-point, 11-rebound double-double against his former club, while Henry Ellenson added 29 points in the victory. The visiting Knicks were led by the guard tandem of Kadeem Allen and Tyler Hall who scored 23 and 21 points respectively.
The 905 jumped out to an early eight-point lead in the first quarter, shooting .619 from the field, powered by Ellenson’s 12-point effort in the frame. The two teams poured in 35 points apiece in the second quarter, and the home side took a 71-63 advantage into the break.
Westchester edged the 905 in the third quarter and then stormed back in the fourth, led by Allen’s 11-point effort to force the game into overtime. After a fruitless first and second overtime, the 905 found success in the third, Jawun Evans scoring the decisive basket with 17.9 seconds remaining to earn the victory.
