MISSISSAUGA, Ontario — Raptors 905 (17-20) defeated the Maine Red Claws (25-10) 116-109 Saturday afternoon at Paramount Fine Foods Centre. The trio of Oshae Brissett, Henry Ellenson and Devin Robinson paced the 905 with 81 of the team’s 116 points and half of the team’s rebounds, while Yante Maten scored a game-high 30 points for the Red Claws in defeat.
The two teams remained within striking distance of one another throughout the first half, with the 905 holding a slight 53-52 advantage after the opening 24 minutes. The 905 were able to take control of the game with a key 11-0 run midway through the third quarter that built a 20-point lead for the home side.
The Red Claws chiseled away at the 905 advantage throughout the fourth quarter, pulling to within two points at the 1:38 mark of the frame, but would get no closer. The 905 responded, closing out the game on a 5-0 run to seal the victory. Brissett finished the game as the team’s leading scorer with 29 points and 10 rebounds, while Robinson collected a team-high 14 rebounds to go along with his 24 points.
