ONTARIO, Calif. — With nine games remaining on the schedule, the Agua Caliente Clippers (20-21) fall to the Stockton Kings (22-18), 116-110, on Tuesday night.
After a back-and-forth first three quarters, a Desi Rodriguez highlight dunk and free throw with 7:33 remaining gave Agua Caliente a 94-93 lead. The advantage was short-lived as the Kings went on a quick 16-7 run and would not be caught the rest of the way.
Rodriguez finished with 14 points and five rebounds on an efficient six-of-eight shooting from the field. Terance Mann once again flirted with a double-double, recording 22 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists.
The Kings shot an efficient 50 percent from the field (42-for-84), led by Kyle Guy’s 27 points and Eric Mika’s 25 points on 12-of-15 shooting.
The Clippers look to regain playoff momentum as they return to the hardwood on Friday, March 6 to take on the Texas Legends in the first of two meetings between the two squads this weekend. The game is slated to tip-off at 7 p.m. PST inside the Toyota Arena in Ontario, Calif.
