Raptors 905 (4-4), NBA G League affiliate of the Toronto Raptors, defeated Capital City Go-Go (6-4) 120-113 Monday afternoon. The 905 were led by Raptors assignee Dalano Banton who scored a game-high 30 points, along with five rebounds and four steals while the Go-Go were paced by Capital City two-way player Cassius Winston who had a team-high 25 points, eight assists, and two steals in the loss.
After a slow start, the 905 found their rhythm going on a 28-9 run early in the second. The two teams traded baskets but the 905 were able to sustain their lead outscoring the Go-Go 63-53 in the second half. Capital City mounted a comeback bid in the fourth quarter but ultimately fell short of victory.
Reggie Perry continued his hot streak with his fifth straight 20-point game, adding nine rebounds and five assists while Malachi Flynn, on assignment from the Raptors made his 905-season debut putting up 21 points and four assists in the victory. The visiting side received complementary scoring from Isaiah Todd who put up 22 points and five rebounds, shooting 66.7% from 3-point range while Jordan Schakel added 21 points in defeat.
The 905 returns to Paramount Fine Foods Centre to take on the Maine Celtics Thursday, December 9th, tip-off scheduled for 7:30 pm and Saturday, December 11th, tip-off at 2:00 pm.
