EDINBURG, Texas — The Rio Grande Valley Vipers (21-7), the NBA G League affiliate of the Houston Rockets, fell 139-131 to the Memphis Hustle (13-16) after four overtimes on Saturday night at the Bert Ogden Arena.
Gerald Green scored a season high 30 points and six rebounds. Marcus Foster followed with 25 points and eight assists. Anthony Lamb fell short of a double-double with 22 points, nine rebounds and six assists. Mfiondu Kabengele and Marvin Smith both obtained a double-double with 21 points and 19 rebounds and 13 points and 10 rebounds, respectively. Tyler Bey totaled 12 points and nine rebounds.
Shaq Buchanan paved the way for the Hustle with 34 points and nine rebounds. Santi Aldama hit a double-double with 33 points and 16 rebounds. Ahmad Cavar posted 16 points. Damien Jefferson added 15 points. Freddie Gillespie summed 12 points. Memphis Grizzlies Two-Way player, Yves Pons, ended the night with 11 points and eight rebounds.
