NEW YORK – July 8, 2015 – The NBA Development League today announced the roster for the 2015 NBA D-League Select Team, which will compete in the Samsung NBA Summer League in Las Vegas. The 12-man roster, made up of top prospects from around the NBA D-League, begins its sixth NBA Summer League campaign on Friday July 10, when the team takes on the Houston Rockets at 10 p.m. ET at the COX Pavilion on the campus of the University of Nevada – Las Vegas.  The squad will also face the Washington Wizards (July 12, 4 p.m. ET) and the Atlanta Hawks (July 13, 6 p.m. ET) before being seeded in the tournament-style bracket.

Including players from 10 NBA D-League teams, four members of the 2015 Select have NBA experience: Justin Dentmon (Texas Legends), Taylor Griffin (Santa Cruz Warriors), Scotty Hopson (Sioux Falls Skyforce) and Hasheem Thabeet (Grand Rapids Drive), the second-overall selection in the 2009 NBA Draft.  Griffin, a member of the 2015 NBA D-League Champion Warriors, will join forces with 2014 NBA D-League Champion Matt Bouldin (Fort Wayne Mad Ants), having most recently faced each other in the 2015 NBA D-League Finals.

Maine Red Claws head coach Scott Morrison, the reigning Dennis Johnson NBA D-League Coach of the Year, will lead the Select team in Las Vegas.  Morrison, whose Red Claws amassed a franchise-best 35 wins last season, will be joined on the sidelines by Seth Cooper (Maine), Nate Mitchell (Maine), Shaun Fein (Maine) and AJ Diggs (Maine), while Brady Howe (Idaho Stampede) and Jonathan Mak (Bakersfield Jam) will serve as the team’s athletic trainers.

The Select team, which owns a 13-13 all-time record in Las Vegas, returns to the Samsung NBA Summer League following the NBA D-League’s 14th  season in which an all-time high 47 NBA D-League players earned a record 63 GATORADE Call-Ups to the NBA and 56 NBA players were assigned to their NBA D-League club a record 195 times.  At the conclusion of the 2014-15 NBA season, almost 40 percent of players had NBA D-League experience.

NBA TV’s 67-game schedule will tip off Friday, July 10, from the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion, with 37 live game telecasts during the 11-day summer showcase. Additionally, fans can catch every game with the NBA Summer League Live subscription package via NBA.com and the NBA Game Time app.
