When asked about the atmosphere, Blossomgame related it to another Showcase-styled event that he has dealt with in the past.
“It has reminded me of the NBA Combine actually. Just seeing all the familiar faces, and having the NBA personnel here, it’s good to see everybody. But once the ball tips off, it’s all basketball.”
The former Clemson University product tallied 26 points (7-for 10 FG) and added 6 rebounds, paving the way to victory for his Spurs squad. Coming into the 2018 NBA G League Showcase, Blossomgame has been a top-50 scorer this season (15.9 points per game), and ranks in the top 10 for wing players in field goal percentage (55.1%).
Blossomgame was appreciative of his teammates efforts after the Wednesday’s game.
“I felt confident today, my teammates did a great job finding me in good positions to score, and in areas where I could be effective,” Blossomgame said. “I got to the line a good amount (11-for-13), and did some good things on both ends of the court, and I am glad my teammates gave me the opportunity to be that guy on offense and defense to give us a chance.”
If Blossomgame continues to show scouts and NBA personnel that he can be effective on both ends like he was yesterday, he may position himself for a shot at the NBA level soon.
