AT&T Winter Showcase Day 1 Updates

No. 4 South Bay Lakers defeated No. 5 Wisconsin Herd, 119-112

Mason Jones' game-high 24 points led the four-seeded South Bay Lakers past the fifth-seeded Wisconsin Herd in the first round of AT&T Winter Showcase action. Teammates Paris Bass and Frank Mason III both went for 20+ points as well, with Bass notching a double-double (23 PTS, 18 REB) and Mason III dropping 20 points, 8 assists, and five rebounds. Nate Pierre-Lewis drilled five of South Bay's 17 three-pointers. For Wisconsin, Jalen Lecque led the team with 22 points. The Lakers will play the top-seeded No. 1 Delaware Blue Coats in the semifinals on Tuesday, Dec. 21 at 5pm/ET on ESPNU.

No. 1 Delaware Blue Coats defeated No. 8 Fort Wayne Mad Ants, 126-101

Reigning NBA G League MVP Paul Reed's near triple-double led the top-seeded Blue Coats to a dominant quarterfinals win. Reed finished with a game-high 23 points, and tallied career highs in both rebounds (19) and assists (9). Delaware's Jarron Cumberland scored 20 points, grabbed five rebounds, and dished out five assists, while Charlie Brown Jr. chimed in with 19 points on 5-8 shooting from deep. The Mad Ants were led by two-way player Duane Washington Jr.'s 22 points. Terry Taylor, the league's leader in rebounding, went for 21 points and 13 rebounds, respectfully.

Birmingham Squadron defeated Capital City Go-Go, 126-115

Malcolm Hill and Jared Harper combined for 47 points (9-15 3PT) for Birmingham. Jose Alvarado and Zylan Cheatham both strung together all-around performances for the Squadron, as Alvarado went for 21 points, eight assists, six steals, and five rebounds. Cheatham put up 17 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists. Capital City was led by Jordan Schakel's 20 points. Cassius Winston tallied 17 points and 10 assists.

No. 6 Oklahoma City Blue defeated No. 3 Rio Grande Valley Vipers, 119-113 (OT)

After being up by as much as 20 points, the Blue saw their lead evaporate and ended up trailing 107-105 with less than a minute in regulation. Backed by a strong performance from D.J. Wilson, Oklahoma City survived overtime to advance to the semifinals. Wilson finished with 31 points and 15 rebounds, while Rio Grand Valley's Anthony Lamb scored a team-high 24 points and drilling five three-pointers. The Blue face No. 7 Motor City Cruise in the semifinals on Tuesday, Dec. 21 at 2pm/ET on ESPNU.

9 PM ET: G League Ignite defeated Grand Rapids Gold, 123-106

Led by the youngers, G League Ignite was propelled by a huge 38-point fourth quarter in which they outscored the Gold by 25. MarJon Beauchamp and Dyson Daniels both scored 21 points and Jaden Hardy went for 19 points, seven assists, and six rebounds. Michael Foster Jr. tallied his fifth double-double of the season, scoring 10 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. The Gold were paced by Giorgi Bezhanishvili (21 points, seven rebounds). Veteran guards Lance Stephenson and Nik Stauskas both dropped 20 points for Grand Rapids and combined for 12 assists.

11:30 PM ET: No. 7 Motor City Cruise defeated No. 2 Maine Celtics, 116-103

It was an all-around barrage of players that got it done for the Cruise in their upset win. Cheick Diallo, Deividas Sirvydis, and Derrick Walton Jr. all scored 20 points apiece, as Diallo notched a double-double after collecting 15 rebounds. Jamorko Pickett chipped in with 18 points for Motor City. Jaysean Paige scored a game-high 39 points for Maine, grabbing five rebounds and tallying four steals as well. Chris Clemons scored 21 points.

12 AM ET: College Park Skyhawks defeated Memphis Hustle, 134-130 (OT)

Big games everywhere in this one. Cat Barber led the Skyhawks with 29 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists, while teammate Justin Tillman scored 24 points and grabbed boards. Atlanta Hawks 2021 first-round pick Jalen Johnson tallied 19 points and 16 rebounds. For Memphis, Cameron Young went for a game-high 32 points and David Stockton scored 25 points and had 14 assists. Darnell Cowart chimed in with 20 points and 13 rebounds.
