The family affair in Wisconsin continues.
After growing up playing together, competing against one another, and chasing their dreams side by side, the Antetokounmpo family basketball fantasy has become a reality this season, with Thanasis joining Giannis on the Bucks following the latter’s MVP campaign.
Accolades must run in the family. Named to two separate NBA G League All-Defensive Teams (Second in 2015, and Third in 2016), Thanasis returned to his NBA G League roots on Wednesday: this time, as a polished and more accomplished NBA assignee. Suiting up for the affiliated Wisconsin Herd, the 27-year old donned familiar colors. Wouldn’t you know it, Giannis was there to cheer him on in true brotherly fashion.

Thanasis added 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 blocks in 26 minutes of the Herd’s victory over the Go-Go, receiving key playing time to help him stay fresh for more opportunities at the next level. Regardless of the circumstances, the Antetokounmpo brothers have always supported one another.
In this case, the drive was much shorter for Giannis, who has an invested interest in seeing his brother do well so they can potentially share the court together much more often in Milwaukee.
