GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. FEB 26 – The Grand Rapids Drive announced today that the team has entered into two separate trade deals, one with the Iowa Energy and another with the Idaho Stampede.
In the first trade, Drive acquired Iowa Energy’s Diante Garrett in exchange for Willie Reed. Garrett is a 6’5, 181-pound guard out of Iowa State and averaged 14.7 ppg. 4.8 rpg, and 4.5 apg during his stint with the Energy. While with the Grand Rapids Drive, he will wear number 17.
In the second trade, the Drive acquired Idaho Stampede’s, Kevin Murphy in exchange for Brandon Fields. The trade is pending a physical. Murphy is a 6’5, 185-pound guard from Tennessee Tech. While with the Idaho Stampede, Murphy averaged 22.6 ppg, 4.4 rpg, and 4.0 apg. He will wear number 19 for the Grand Rapids Drive.
