College Park Skyhawks guard Langston Galloway has been named as the winner of the 2022-23 NBA G League Community Assist Award. This award honors a player's extensive commitment to positively impacting the community through sustained efforts.
Galloway has been a central figure in the Skyhawks’ community activations this year, notably helping distribute food to over 100 families in College Park for Thanksgiving, purchasing gifts for youth of the iHoop Factory for their holiday wish lists and speaking on several post-game panels with youth basketball teams during the season.
Earlier this season, Galloway partnered with the Healthy Meals Program at Thrive Academy in his hometown of Baton Rouge to provide nutritious pre-game meals for the boys & girls basketball teams.
The NBA veteran established “The Langston Galloway Foundation” in 2018 to improve the overall wellbeing of student athletes through programming, advocacy and action.
