NEW YORK, Feb. 13, 2017 – Josh Magette of the Los Angeles D-Fenders today was named NBA Development League Performer of the Week for games played Monday, Feb. 6, through Sunday, Feb 12.
Magette (6-1, Alabama-Huntsville) led Los Angeles to a 3-1 week, averaging 24.0 points, 8.3 assists and 6.8 rebounds. On Feb. 6, he notched a double-double with 24 points and 11 assists to go with six rebounds and three steals in a 138-129 victory over the Salt Lake City Stars. On Feb. 11, Magette scored a career-best 31 points — matching career highs with 10 made field goals and six three-pointers — and added 11 assists and four rebounds in a 134-128 loss to the Oklahoma City Blue. He capped off the week scoring 26 points on 9-of-18 shooting to go with a career-high 11 rebounds and seven assists in a 121-118 win over the Austin Spurs on Feb. 12.
Magette is averaging 16.1 points, a league-leading 9.4 assists and 3.9 rebounds on the season. Magette has been selected to play in the 2017 NBA D-League All-Star Game presented by Kumho Tire. He will represent the West team in his first All-Star appearance.
