Meet Jalen Green, Isaiah Todd & Daishen Nix: The Newest NBA G League Prospects

By Keith Schlosser | April 28, 2020

It’s the dawn of a new day for the NBA G League as the Select Team comes to form heading into next season. In recent weeks, three major prospects have chosen the minor league to serve as the stepping stone for their professional careers. Here’s a look at the talent (and respective credentials) this trio brings to the table.

Jalen Green

At 6’5″ and 180 pounds, this elite athlete was the first to endure on this pioneering path, and he happens to boast very impressive credentials:

  • Consensus Five-Star Recruit
  • 2020 McDonald’s HS All-American
  • Won Gold Medals with the USA Basketball Men’s Junior National Team, at the 2019 FIBA Under-19 and 2018 FIBA Under-17 Basketball World Cups and 2017 FIBA Americas Under-16 Championship.
  • MVP of the 2018 FIBA Under-17 Basketball World Cup in Argentina.

Isaiah Todd

This 6’10”, 206-pound forward was next to follow this budding trend, joining forces with a familiar face in Green. The two have been teammates before, something that is sure to ease this transition for both of them. Like his young gun counterpart, Todd too has accomplished quite a bit on the floor in a short time:

  • Consensus Five-Star Recruit
  • 2020 McDonald’s HS All-American
  • 2020 Jordan Brand Classic selection
  • Won a Gold Medal with the USA Basketball Men’s Junior National Team at the 2017 FIBA Under-16 Americas Championship

Daishen Nix

Completing the trio is Daishen Nix, a 6’4″, 208-pound point guard set to suit up for the Select Team in the NBA G League next season. While he may not boast as many accolades as Green or Todd, Nix’s ability to run the floor is undeniable. As an unselfish player who works tirelessly to make those around him better, Green & Todd are sure to reap the benefits of sharing the floor with him. He’s highly regarded across the nation, and the NBA G League presents the perfect opportunity to see if his widely heralded potential will translate to pro success:

  • Consensus Five-Star Recruit
  • 2020 McDonald’s HS All-American
  • Ranked by ESPN No. 20 in the nation in the Class of 2020
  • Ranked as the No. 15 recruit in the 247 Class of 2020 Composite
  • Ranked as the No. 1 PG in the 247 Class of 2020 Composite
